Experience
Jenny is a Director in the Police, Care, and Justice team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in civil and public law.Prior to joining DWF, Jenny spent over 25 years in house at the Metropolitan Police. As the former Director of Operational Policing law she has extensive senior leadership experience and has acted in a wide range of matters of national importance including cases in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Her extensive knowledge of operational policing is impressive having advised on numerous high profile and critical incidents.
As well as litigation, she has overseen many significant inquests and public inquiries including those following deaths in police custody or fatal police shootings. She has had particular expertise in counter terrorism related matters becoming a leader in this field advising on live operational matters and legal proceedings such as the inquests arising from the 7/7 London Bombings; and the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko. She also has vast experience in leading teams to deliver quality legal advice and representation across a range of issues in an operational and publicly accountable environment.
In 2025 she was awarded the OBE for services to policing and national security.
