Corporate partner Luca Cuomo advised on the transaction alongside Counsel Matteo Polli and associate Artemis Tiamkaris who led M&A and corporate aspects of the deal. The team was also supported by Counsel Paola Mariani who managed all employment issues, Gianni Vettorello, Co-Head of the DWF Italy Banking and Finance practice, and associate Eleonora degli Abbati.
The deal will see a pool of investors take a stake in Panini Durini which will enable the chain to expand further in Italy and internationally.
Luca Cuomo, corporate partner at DWF Italy, said: "We're really pleased to have advised Astraco and the private investors on this acquisition which will enable Panini Durini to enter its strategic next stage of growth in opening a further 20 new points of sale in the region. This high profile transaction demonstrates our sector expertise and industry capabilities."
DWF Italy was launched by a three-partner team Michele Cicchetti, Tancredi Marino and Luca Cuomo in October 2017 based in Milan. It has since experienced rapid growth with a number of lateral hires including Head of the Intellectual Property department at DWF Italy Marco Annoni, Head of Insurance at DWF Italy Matteo Cerretti and corporate partner Giovanni Cucchiarato.
