To assist public and private sector bodies to prepare, DWF's Subsidy Control experts delivered a practical guide to the new requirements, identifying what steps need to be taken to adapt to the new regime and when. This also included an overview as to which measures are required to be submitted to the Competition and Markets Authority for review, as well as the submission process, timetables and practical tips.
The session was led by Jonathan Branton and Alexander Rose, who both appeared as experts at the House of Commons Select Committee for the Subsidy Control Bill. They have extensive experience advising on a wide range of subsidies and different government funds including in respect of major industrial investment, urban regeneration, energy infrastructure, and sports, culture and leisure infrastructure.
