Event details

Two years after the duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment came into effect, the new Employment Rights Act will expand the duty and widen it to cover other forms of harassment. The Act will also re-introduce liability on employers for harassment carried out by third parties, rather than just for acts carried out by fellow employees. Our session will look at the further steps public and private sector employers will need to take, both to protect their workforce and also themselves, and we will examine the Government's consultation regarding additional regulations in this area and the specific legal protection to be provided to sexual harassment whistleblowers.
