Construction & Engineering

Spanning domestic and international claims, and whether relating to first party indemnity disputes or a myriad of third party liability matters, we have an outstanding 30-year track record of dealing successfully with a wide range of construction and engineering matters for insurers, loss adjusters and corporates.

How we can help

Understanding your legal commercial needs

Our Construction & Engineering insurance specialists deliver commercially-relevant, expert claims solutions along the whole contracting chain, acting for the insurers of employers, main contractors and sub-contractors, as well as architects, engineers and surveyors.

From First Party and Third Party Property Damage (TPPD) through to subrogated recoveries, we have worked on construction and engineering policy indemnity disputes ranging from the relatively modest to complex multi-million pound, multi-party claims on JCT, NEC and other forms of standard construction and engineering contracts in building and civil engineering projects. We also advise insurers on coverage issues, contractual obligations and claims under CAR and EAR policies, as well as supporting policyholders with warranty reviews, attractively priced adjudication schemes (under the Housing Grants etc Act), on-site training and help with the development of risk management and improvement programmes.

We have strong expertise in choice of jurisdiction and applicable law disputes, and lawyers who are seasoned in resolving disputes through litigation, mediation and arbitration.
