Experience

Victoria is a Legal Director in the Regulatory, Investigations and Inquiries (RII) team, with a particular focus on public inquiries and independent investigations.

Prior to joining DWF, Victoria spent nearly 18 years in the in-house legal department at the Metropolitan Police Service, having first qualified as a barrister and then cross-qualified to become a solicitor. With experience as head of various specialist and general practice teams, Victoria gained an expertise in public law, handling a number of complex, sensitive and high profiles cases including those of national significance. Her knowledge has developed from her lead role working on cases such as Mark Duggan's inquest; the Undercover Policing Inquiry (UCPI); the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA); the Covid-19 inquiry on behalf of national policing; the Angiolini Inquiry; and the Nottingham Inquiry.

With previous experience in counter terrorism and operational policing, Victoria has a solid foundation in crisis management and delivers pragmatic, solution-focused advice to clients, which reflects both legal and reputational considerations.
