Rachel has practised in the healthcare sector for over 12 years. She has experience representing private healthcare providers and NHS Trusts, via NHS Resolution. She has taken a number of claims to contested Trial, including a multi-million pound claim for wrongful birth.
Rachel has extensive experience in dealing with multi-party actions and product liability, having been involved in her previous role in claims relating to mesh procedures. She liaised closely with manufacturer representatives and parties in other jurisdictions.
Rachel has a particular expertise in cases concerning informed consent and claims involving patients with psychiatric injury.
Rachel co-leads the Newcastle healthcare team with Caroline Calder. They are recognised on the Legal 500 shortlist as "delivering sensible and to-the-point legal advice with a vibrancy and approachability that is unmatched".
