Experience
Nina has considerable experience, spending the last twenty years advising and representing clients for all tax matters, the majority of which at one of the top four accountancy practices.
Nina spent much of her early career as a VAT advisor and has provided advice across a number of sectors, including real estate, public sector, retail and consumer supporting small owner managed businesses to large corporate entities and has a broad knowledge and expertise of VAT matters.
Nina's work on HMRC enquiries and investigations has resulted in Nina advising on a diverse range of matters including real estate, medical and scientific liability, imports and export issues, food and travel. In addition, Nina has provided advice and representation to clients with IR35 enquiries, employment status and national minimum wage enquiries, personal tax enquiries and enquiries/investigations relating to under declared takings.
Nina's approach to HMRC enquiries and investigations is very pragmatic, spending time to understand what HMRC want, understanding the client's affairs and ultimately delivering advice with a view to bring matters to an amicable close as swiftly as possible.

- First Tier Tax Tribunal Appeal regarding a VAT assessment and penalty in respect of alleged CIS and VAT fraud and directors liability following the issue of Personal Liability Notices totalling approximately £500,000.
