They join the already established teams led by Roberto Usai and Gerolamo Vinci in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department, which will now be co-headed by Francesco Maruffi.
Francesco Maruffi, a high-profile professional, brings with him extensive experience gained at international law firms, working alongside both Italian and foreign clients. He assists them in judicial and arbitration proceedings, managing complex disputes in the areas of finance, insurance, corporate, and commercial law. He has been repeatedly recognised as a “leading individual” by The Legal 500 for his expertise in Dispute Resolution in Italy.
Ines Cusumano has worked for years in banking and corporate litigation, including for international clients, and has gained significant experience particularly in corporate crisis resolution procedures.
“The arrival of Francesco and Ines marks an important step in the growth of our Litigation & Dispute Resolution department, which, together with the Insurance practice, now includes more than 25 litigators — a clear confirmation of how central these practices are for our domestic and international clients,” commented Michele Cicchetti, Managing Partner of DWF in Italy.
“The addition of a professional like Francesco brings dual value to the firm: on one hand, it strengthens our offering in civil litigation, and on the other, it enriches the insurance sector with further technical expertise, thanks to Francesco’s experience in this specific area,” adds Matteo Cerretti, Partner, Head of Insurance Italy, Insurance Commercial Director Europe, and Insurance & Litigation Coordinator.
Francesco Maruffi: “I am very proud to become part of a firm like DWF, which boasts a particularly well-structured Litigation and Insurance practice, capable of offering Italian and international clients a wide range of highly specialised expertise. I am confident that I can further contribute to the growth of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, making it — together with my colleagues — an increasingly recognised point of reference in the market.”
