International legal business DWF has launched a new private capital team in London with the appointments of partner Amanda Chapman and director Roger Holman.

International legal business DWF has launched a new private capital team in London with the appointments of partner Amanda Chapman and director Roger Holman. Both join from boutique practice Brecher and will play a vital part in the development of DWF's private capital offering in the UK and internationally.

With extensive experience in UK and cross-border succession, estate and tax planning, Amanda specialises in advising high net worth individuals, families, businesses, trustees and charities. Amanda has a focus on succession planning and family business governance, wealth structuring and charity law and practice, working with the wider business to provide a rounded service for her clients.

Roger, who has more than 20 years' experience in the field, specialises in private wealth tax both in the UK and internationally and will work closely with DWF's international tax team in delivering comprehensive private wealth services to clients. He is an affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT) and he contributes to its CGT and succession taxes technical committee.

Jon Gould, National Head of Private Capital at DWF, said: "As we launch our private capital presence in the City and look to grow the practice nationally and internationally, Amanda and Roger bring technical knowledge and a strong commercial, client-focused approach that will ensure a strong start to the next phase of our growth. They have strong industry knowledge advising ultra and high-net worth clients, with a particular focus on business owners and international clients. Their extensive UK and international tax knowledge and insight will ensure cooperative working with our commercial teams to create great results for our clients. We're delighted to have them join the team."

Amanda Chapman commented: "DWF already has a well-respected private capital practice and this gives us an excellent platform to support our existing clients, and upon which we can continue building. With DWF's growing global presence, there is a real opportunity to not only establish a competitive practice in London, but also to grow both the business's domestic and international private client work, particularly from within its existing client base."

Roger Holman added: "Our clients are increasingly global, and with that comes additional requirements for support across real estate, corporate, employment and immigration work, as well as more specialist advice on their multi-jurisdictional affairs. The strength and depth of DWF's legal teams will allow us to significantly enhance and extend the service we can deliver to our clients and, combined with the business's innovative approach, puts the national private capital team in a very good position for future growth."
