SDAX-listed Capital Stage AG, is one of Europe's leading renewable independent power producers with wind and solar investments in multiple EU countries.
DWF Partners Garrett Monaghan (Energy & Corporate) and Ross Little (Corporate) and corporate lawyer John Scanlon advised Capital Stage on the transaction which involves the development of more than 20 new solar parks in Ireland, from Louth to West Cork ranging in size between 5 MW and 25 MW.
Commenting on the transaction Garrett Monaghan said: "we are delighted to have advised Capital Stage since the inception of a very interesting and innovative transaction. Capital Stage's commitment and partnership with ISIF is a very strong endorsement of the Irish solar and wider renewables market; particularly at a time of rapidly growing demand for green energy from multinational and local corporates. The transaction demonstrated our cross-border capabilities in advising an international client on Irish and German law issues, commercial structuring and energy."
DWF's full service team in Dublin, led by Ross Little, was launched in August 2016 to leverage DWF's network of international offices, to drive growth in the Irish market and to build upon the profile of DWF in the region. Energy and infrastructure are key practice areas across the Firm; Garrett Monaghan and others have advised on a number of recent high profile transactions in the onshore wind, social housing and corporate infrastructure sectors.
