Mandatory origin declaration for primary ingredients of food: EU Regulation 2018:775 provides detailed rules, in respect of Article 26(3) of the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation 1169:2011, on when a statement relating to the origin of primary ingredients is required and how it must be given. A transitional period applies until April 2020. View >

 

‘Say no to upsizing’ campaign launched: The Scottish Government has launched a new healthy eating campaign aimed at encouraging consumers to resist optional increase to portion sizes of meals eaten outside the home. View >

 

Advertising code breaches referred to National Trading Standards: The Advertising Standards Authority has referred Viagogo to National Trading Standards with a request for enforcement action over what it believes to be misleading pricing practices.
