Join our business immigration experts, Roisin Patton and John Dorney for a discussion on the future of compliance considerations for the UK’s visa and immigration system, right to work checks and the use of the visitor rules for business purposes.

Event details

The current Government has confirmed its commitment to invest in enforcing immigration and right to work breaches and has indicated that there will be further announcements on compliance measures to follow. Those changes are expected to compliment the introduction of the requirement for Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA’s) for those travelling to the UK from outside of Europe as of 8th January 2025, with the same requirements applying to European travellers from March 2025. This is expected to assist the policing of the misuse of the visitor rules.

John and Roisin will discuss other compliance concerns for employers on matters such as:

  • Sponsorship management duties
  • Common sponsorship compliance issues and how to manage risk
  • Visitor rules breaches
  • Student visa working hours
  • Right to work checks and compliance pitfalls

This webinar will be useful to employers who are sponsoring workers and/or employing workers on non-work visas, as well as international businesses that are currently using the visitor rules to facilitate business travel to the UK.
