The appointment, which will run for two years with the option to be extended beyond that, will enable DWF to provide commercial, regulatory and dispute resolution legal advice under the External Legal Services Framework for Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, Highland Council, Moray Council, Orkney Islands Council, Western Isles Council/Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Shetland Islands Council.

DWF has a strong record in providing legal services to the public sector resulting in the business being named 'Public Sector Firm of the Year: outside of London' at the Legal 500 UK Awards earlier this year.
DWF was also recently appointed to deliver full-service commercial legal advice to public sector contracting authorities across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as part of the UK Government's Crown Commercial Service (CCS) legal framework panel.
