DWF expands early careers opportunities with successful India campus recruitment initiative

20 February 2025

DWF’s latest campus recruitment in India welcomed 36 new team members, showcasing their commitment to developing legal talent through strategic initiatives, collaboration, and a focus on integrating technology in legal services.

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has welcomed 36 new team members through its latest campus recruitment initiative across India's leading law institutions, marking a significant milestone in the firm's commitment to developing emerging legal talent.

The strategic initiative, which saw DWF's teams visit prestigious institutions including SOA, KIIT, Bharati Vidyapeeth, and NLU, formed part of a wider drive to strengthen the firm's talent pipeline in India. Students underwent a comprehensive selection process, combining technical assessments with in-depth interviews to identify candidates with exceptional potential.

Harmeet Pannu, Delivery Head at DWF said: "The calibre of talent we encountered throughout this initiative was remarkable. What particularly stood out was the candidates' enthusiasm and curiosity about our innovative solutions. Their insightful questions about our technology stack and its applications demonstrated a real understanding of where the legal sector is heading. We're thrilled to welcome these bright minds to DWF."

The success of the initiative was underpinned by close collaboration between DWF's HR, Learning and Development, and delivery teams. Vidyesh Sabne, Vice President, Litigation and Investigation at DWF, who was also involved in the recruitment process, added: "This truly was a team effort. By bringing together expertise from across the business, we were able to create an engaging recruitment experience that gave candidates real insight into life at DWF. The 36 exceptional individuals we've hired will bring fresh perspectives and energy to our teams."

For the participating institutions, the initiative represented more than just a recruitment drive. Abhishek Patnaik, Placement Head at SOA, commented: "From the outset, DWF's approach set them apart. Their presentation, particularly around the integration of  technology in legal services, captured our students' imagination. They demonstrated how AI is integrated into various aspects of their work, from automating routine tasks to enhancing decision-making processes. This use of technology not only improves efficiency but also allows their team to focus on more strategic and creative tasks. The presentation also highlighted the various career opportunities available and the growth potential within the company. This session was particularly inspiring for our students, as it gave them a clear picture of what it would be like to work at DWF. The interviewers created such a supportive environment that many students described the experience as both inspiring and confidence-boosting. It's exactly the kind of engagement we seek for our students."

DWF's commitment to nurturing legal talent extends across its global operations, with the India campus recruitment initiative forming part of a broader strategy to develop the next generation of legal professionals. By investing in emerging talent and providing clear pathways for development, DWF continues to strengthen its position as an employer of choice in the legal services sector.
