Experience
Stephen is a dual qualified solicitor and chartered town planner with more than 35 years experience of planning and planning law. He worked as a planning officer for 9 years at two local authorities before qualifying as a solicitor. Stephen has held partner positions at a number of large city firms as well as at a niche Mayfair real estate law firm before joining DWF. He runs a broad based planning practice advising developers, landowners, investors, private individuals, local authorities and development corporations on all aspects of planning and related law including on new settlements and urban extensions, regeneration projects, affordable housing, complex planning agreements, compulsory purchase, local authority procedures and transport planning issues. Stephen also deals with contentious issues including public inquiries and judicial review.
