Experience

Peter has experience advising clients on a broad range of domestic and international disputes, with a particular focus on complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He regularly assists clients throughout the lifecycle of proceedings, from pre-action strategy and pleadings through to disclosure, witness evidence, case management and trial preparation.

His recent experience includes acting for individuals defending a substantial breach of warranty claim arising from a share purchase agreement, where he assisted with pleadings, disclosure, witness evidence and costs management. He has also acted for a technology entrepreneur in proceedings involving allegations of breach of collateral contract and unjust enrichment, including managing disclosure under Practice Direction 57AD and preparing witness evidence compliant with Practice Direction 57AC.

Peter has further experience acting for a public sector body in proceedings concerning the interaction between High Court litigation and Competition Appeal Tribunal proceedings, assisting with jurisdictional challenges, declaratory relief claims and procedural applications.

His arbitration experience includes matters involving parties based across Europe, Asia and North America. He has worked on institutional arbitrations concerning contractual disputes, supply chain issues and pricing disagreements, as well as applications relating to the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in England and Wales. He has also advised clients on disputes arising under sector-specific regulatory frameworks.

In addition, Peter has assisted on judicial review proceedings concerning public law decision-making, High Court trials, mediations and restitution-related claims. During a secondment to the legal team of a major international retailer, he managed supplier disputes, advised on regulatory compliance and helped develop processes for the efficient resolution and reporting of claims.
