Experience
Before being called to the Ontario bar in 2023, Maya obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. She was heavily involved in Windsor Law’s mooting program, competing in the 2021 Wilson Moot and winning the 2022 Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot and the award for Best Defendant Factum. As a student, she worked at Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW), where she assisted clients and provided community education regarding the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). Prior to law school, Maya obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from McGill University, and worked in public affairs in Washington, DC.Outside of the office, Maya is an avid basketball fan and enjoys reading, baking for friends and family, and attending live music shows in Toronto.
