John has over 13 years of experience advising clients across the aviation, insurance and travel sectors. He has acted for airlines, general and private aviation organisations, handling agents, manufacturers (OEMs), maintenance providers and their respective insurers and reinsurers on a wide range of contentious and advisory mandates. John speaks fluent French and Spanish which has provided him with extensive opportunities to work closely with clients across Europe, West Africa and Latin America.
He has advised airlines, manufacturers and insurers on claims arising from major losses and fatal accidents, aircraft damage and instances of alleged product liability, negligence and/or breach of contract.
He is experienced in supporting ground handling agents and their insurers in relation to claims under the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA) and other regulatory and contractual frameworks.
John has advised operators, logistics and technology companies, manufacturers and investors in relation to the EASA and UK CAA regulations governing nascent aviation technologies including UAS (UAV and drones), e-VTOL and Advanced air mobility (AAM).

- Acting for London Reinsurers following the fatal accident involving LaMia Flight 2933 which crashed in Medellín, Colombia.
- Advising a European aircraft manufacturer in relation to product liability claims following fatal accidents in Europe and North America.
- Acting for a UK MRO in relation to the dispute surrounding maintenance works to a private aircraft.
