DWF appoints new energy sector specialist in Italy

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has appointed Giuliano Proietto as new Counsel in the Milan office. 

Giuliano Proietto has gained significant experience in the energy and regulated markets sector, providing legal assistance to utilities, investment funds and national and international operators in the context of M&A transactions, as well as in sector contracting (EPC, O&M, PPA) regarding renewable energy projects (wind, hydro, photovoltaic, biomass plants), cogeneration, storage, distributed generation and energy efficiency, as well as with regard to regulatory issues related to these activities.

Giuliano is the author of several publications and collaborates with Agici Finanza d'Impresa, a company that has been active for over 30 years in the field of strategic research in the areas of public utilities, renewable energy, energy efficiency, water industry and circular economy, where he serves as a member of the board of directors and leads the legal and regulatory research team.

By joining DWF, Proietto will also be holding the position of Head of the firm's German Desk, due to his personal and professional experiences in German-speaking countries and a significant track record in cross – border transactions.

Prior to joining DWF, Proietto worked with leading international and domestic law firms and earned an LLM from the University of Vienna, which was followed by a research period at Stanford Law School under the auspices of the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum (TTLF).
