DWF bolsters Queensland presence with new Gold Coast office

23 April 2021
DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has opened a new Gold Coast office in Bundall, as part of a global review that will see it refocus resources on core sectors and clients, particularly in the Queensland market.

Principal Lawyer, Hamish Broadbent, who has over 25 years of experience across insurance, health law, local government and workers’ compensation, will oversee operations and lead the team.

Commenting on the announcement, DWF's Managing Director in Australia, Damien van Brunschot, said:

“Last month, DWF announced that it would be making various changes to its Australian operations as part of a broader restructuring to focus on key industries and service areas, in particular our Insurance, Safety and Employment practices.

“DWF has serviced clients in the Gold Coast for many years and the decision to open an office now is just a natural evolution to our commitment to clients, he said.

DWF’s Gold Coast team will provide legal advisory services to clients in addition to its Mindcrest and Connected Services offering.

Principal Lawyer, Hamish Broadbent said:
“The Gold Coast is the sixth largest city in Australia with projected growth to 1 million people by 2050, has the second largest regional economy of more than $35 billion, and has the second largest local government area in Australia - it’s a very important region for us where we are seeing an increase in demand for our integrated services.

“Over the years, we have built many strong relationships through our Insurance, Health and Safety and Employment practices, and the opening of our new office will allow us to continue to support our current and new clients in the Gold Coast.”
