DWF reappointed to Insurance London Consortium panel

27 June 2018
Legal business DWF has confirmed its reappointment to Insurance London Consortium's legal service panel, which will see the business deliver legal services to seven of the Consortium's local authority members over a five-year period.
The procurement process was led by the London Borough of Croydon and is expected to deliver £5m worth of legal work over the course of the contract.

DWF is one of just five law firms appointed to ILC's panel and has been retained for legal services in relation to the management of litigated insurance claims, including industrial disease, general employer liability, housing liability and human rights. The DWF team advising ILC is led by Partner and Head of Casualty and Occupational Health Team in London Mark Whittaker, alongside London-based insurance director John Palmer.

Mark Whittaker commented: "We are proud and pleased to have been reappointed to the Insurance London Consortium Panel for another five years. Our team here has deep insurance litigation expertise, and our public sector insurance team, which has been carrying out work for local authorities for over fifty years, is one of the largest in the UK. This breadth and depth of capability, as well as the expertise we are able to draw on from the wider DWF group, allows us to work effectively and collaboratively with ILC and deliver cost-effective and commercially-sensitive advice. Our renewed appointment reflects the strong relationship we have with ILC, and we very much look forward to continuing to build upon that going forward."
