07 June 2018
Kishan Mangat | DWF
Insurance solicitor Kishan Mangat has been shortlisted in Rising Starslegal category of We Are The City Rising Stars 2018 Awards.

Kishan is part of DWF's catastrophic personal injury team in London and was recently appointed as the new president of Tomorrow's Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL). FOIL encourages lawyers with less than five years' of post qualification experience to engage with counterpart organisations in the insurance market. As part of Kishan's role she helps to promote the interests of young insurance lawyers to give them a voice on key insurance industry issues.

Sponsored by The Times and the Sunday Times, the Rising Star Awards were launched to showcase female talent below management level who are role models in their industry. This elite shortlist was narrowed down to just 10 candidates in each category from hundreds of nominated women across the UK. The winners will be announced on 18 June 2018.

John Lezemore, Insurance Partner, said: "Kishan has exceeded expectations this year in both her working role and her other insurance responsibilities and is an asset to the team. Being shortlisted in the Rising Star Lynne Freeman Award is well deserved and is testament to her commitment and dedication to the practice. She has been a role model, supporting others here at DWF and I'm confident this is just the start of a very successful career."

Kishan Mangat added: "I'm thrilled to have been nominated and now shortlisted in these prestigious awards. To achieve this as well as be appointed as president of FOIL in the same year has been an honour. I look forward to continuing to help inspire young lawyers in the insurance sector as well as promoting gender equality and diversity."
