DWF Biggart Baillie becomes DWF in Scotland

Top 20 business law firm DWF has confirmed that from 1 March 2014 the firm will be known as DWF in Scotland, formerly DWF Biggart Baillie. The announcement comes almost two years on from the merger between DWF and leading commercial law firm Biggart Baillie in July 2012.

In Scotland and throughout the UK DWF is known for its in-depth, cross-sector expertise and its delivery of quality, commercial advice to clients, as recognised in 2013 when the firm was independently ranked ahead of all top 20 UK law firms for the quality of its legal advice. DWF continues to advise a number of major Scottish businesses including Kier Group, Visit Scotland and Greggs plc as well as other major FTSE-listed companies.

Over the past 12 months DWF, which in Scotland employs 190 people across its offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, has further invested in and enhanced its client offering with senior lateral partner and associate appointments which include corporate partner Paul Pignatelli, associate Tom Maxwell and solicitor Gemma Gallagher, all from DLA Piper. Paul Mason from Eversheds also recently joined the real estate and retail team in Edinburgh as a senior associate.
