Training / learning sessions
DWF Foundation offers a range of free training and information sessions designed to support charities and community organisations to strengthen their work, build confidence and make informed decisions. Our sessions provide practical guidance, shared learning and the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment—whether you are new to funding applications or looking to embed sustainability into your projects.
Making an application to DWF Foundation
This session is designed to help organisations understand what funders are looking for and how to present a strong, clear application. We explain the DWF Foundation’s funding priorities, walk through the application process, and share practical tips on demonstrating need, impact and outcomes. The session is particularly useful for charities considering applying to DWF Foundation, but is equally relevant for anyone wanting to improve their approach to charitable funding applications more generally.
Considering sustainability when planning your project
In a changing world, sustainability is more important than ever for charities and community organisations. This interactive session explores what sustainability means in practice and how it can be built into projects from the very start. We look at sustainability across four key areas—environmental, social, economic and organisational—and discuss how considering all four helps create projects that are resilient, responsible and able to deliver long term impact. The session is relevant across all areas of delivery and is especially helpful for organisations thinking about future funding or strategic development.
Who can attend
While DWF Foundation grant funding is only available to registered charities, our training sessions are open and inclusive. Any organisation or group that would like to learn more about making a funding application or about sustainability in project planning is very welcome to attend.
