DWF shortlisted for three workplace equality and inclusion awards

30 May 2018
DWF
International legal business DWF has been shortlisted in three categories at the 2018 Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion (ENEI) Awards.
The awards recognise UK businesses that are taking the lead in challenging discrimination and working inclusively to effectively support their workforces. The business has been shortlisted in the Advancing Social Mobility in the Workplace, Agile Working, and Equality & Inclusion Senior Champion categories.

DWF has been recognised for its education programme 5 STAR Futures in the Advancing Social Mobility in the Workplace category. The judges recognised how DWF has taken steps to reach individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. 5 STAR Futures is a community engagement programme created by DWF which has built relationships with local schools throughout the UK. The programme aims to enable young people to unlock their potential by helping them increase their confidence, develop their employability skills, and become more work-ready.

In the Agile Working category DWF was able to demonstrate how it has successfully embraced change in the way that people work in its Manchester headquarters through a merger of its two Manchester-based buildings and a change to its way of working. The category examined evidence of measurable impact, the commitment from all levels of the organisation and how the business has overcome challenges faced by agile working and adopted the new work lifestyle.

Finally, DWF Partner, Kirsty Rogers, has been recognised in the Equality & Inclusion Senior Champion of the Year category for her efforts to advance gender equality and colleague wellbeing.

Ty Jones, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Engagement at DWF, said: "We're delighted to have been recognised with a triple award shortlist at this year's ENEI Awards. We work hard to ensure DWF is inclusive for everyone, widening participation and encouraging our people to focus on the behaviours that shape an enabling culture. It's through the diversity of our talent that we do things differently and successfully adapt to the changing world in which we operate."

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on July 10th at The Law Society, London.
