DWF has come a long way on its Diversity and Inclusion journey. We have seen huge amounts of success in the creation of our Global D&I Strategy, D&I targets, Diversity and Inclusion Employee Networks, policy and support development as well as awareness raising events.
D&I is no longer addressed once a year on specific awareness days, it is a consistent area of focus throughout the business.
We have therefore moved our attention to continuous embedding of D&I throughout our organisation. We recognise that every colleagues plays a part in creating a diverse and inclusive culture, so this year's Diversity & Inclusion week centred on the concept of empowering colleagues.
To encourage high levels of allyship, we provided updates on the great initiatives we have undertaken, shared our plans for the future and, most importantly, showcased the actions all colleagues can take to make a difference.
Seema Bains, Partner and Head of D&I Leadership Group said, "Our goal is to create an increasingly more inclusive and diverse workplace and to ensure that DWF is a place for all people to grow both personally and professionally."
Through the week we shared a look behind the scenes and overviews of the achievements of our Employee D&I Networks, including key information on how colleagues can make contributions. We also launched our new DWF Allies content which provides colleagues with short videos covering terminology, challenges, myths and ally tips related to different D&I characteristics.
