Experience

Felix advises national and international clients on all matters of international commercial, maritime, transport, defence and marine insurance law. After his admission to the German bar in 2018, he focused his practice on complex disputes and advisory work across the full spectrum of carriage of goods, logistics operations and marine insurance.

His work regularly involves multi-jurisdictional constellations, cross-border contractual frameworks and the coordination of international stakeholders.

He represents shipping companies, freight forwarders, shippers, trading companies, logistics service providers, insurers, P&I Clubs, brokers and industrial clients.

A substantial part of his practice consists of litigation and arbitration, including the management of major maritime and transport casualties, coverage disputes and subrogation claims. His experience includes collisions, salvage and general average, cargo claims under multimodal regimes, port-related incidents and insurance-regulatory issues.

In addition to his core practice in transport and insurance law, Felix advises on commercial contracts in the international trade environment, including purchase agreements, charterparties, logistics and warehousing agreements, distribution structures and compliance-related questions with a transport or marine nexus.

Through his academic involvement, he maintains a close connection between doctrinal precision and practical application. His clients appreciate his structured, analytical approach and his ability to translate technical and operational complexities into legally robust solutions.

Felix has gained extensive experience in leading German and international law firms specialising in maritime and insurance matters, allowing him to combine industry insight with a commercially oriented perspective.

Felix is actively involved in international professional networks in the maritime, transport and insurance sectors, such as the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). His longstanding engagement in these organisations provides access to a global network of specialised practitioners for almost any jurisdiction, enabling coordinated support in cross-border mandates.
