Session 1: Key data protection priority areas for 2023

Session 2: Overview of the Adtech ecosystem
In session 2, James Drury-Smith will introduce attendees to the ad-tech ecosystem. During this session we will explain key terminology and how the different parties involved in adtech combine to deliver online advertising. Join this session for an easy to understand explanation of programmatic advertising, real time bidding and the roles of demand-side platforms, supply-side platforms, agency trading desks, ad servers, publishers, ad networks and more.

Session 3: Update on Adtech enforcement action
Building on session 2, JP Buckley and James Drury Smith will describe recent regulatory action and initiatives relating to the use of advertising technologies in the UK and Europe. They will also discuss key data privacy issues for organisations to consider when using programmatic advertising.

Session 4: Managing the alignment of an acquired entity with your data protection programme
In session 4, Tuğhan Thuraisingam will be having a fire side chat with a Director in the Global Privacy Office of one of the world's largest payments technology companies. We'll be exploring ways to manage the alignment of an acquired entity with your data protection programme, the key challenges that arise and how to overcome them.

Session 5: Top 10 actions to take when you discover a data breach
Security incidents happen, but how you respond to incidents is of vital importance to the eventual outcomes. In this session Jamie Taylor and Mark Hendry will describe the considerations, actions, decisions and behaviours that can lead to more positive outcomes when you are faced with challenging incident scenarios.

Session 6: International data transfers – latest developments and more turns of the Rubik's cube!
In session 6, JP Buckley will explore the repapering timelines, the latest trends and how to approach resolving conflicting regulatory requirements.  We'll look particularly at Intra-Group transfers and the ICO's new Transfer Risk Assessment, a light-touch version of assessing international data transfer risks, and finally pose some questions about your own transfers.

This senior leaders forum will be of interest to C-suite level people with a responsibility for data protection strategy, General Counsel and Heads of Legal, DPO's etc.
