Sharaf advises on claims and coverage issues arising from losses in the oil and gas, nuclear power generation, renewables and construction sectors. He draws on experience acting for both claimants and respondents to inform defence strategies in complex matters involving multiple jurisdictions and competing commercial considerations.Sharaf also brings several years of experience and local know‑how from the Gulf, particularly the UAE, Oman and Yemen, where he managed a broad portfolio of construction, infrastructure and commercial disputes. His international arbitration experience spans proceedings under the ICC, LCIA, DIAC, SCC and FAI rules, including acting as lead case handler in disputes across Europe and the Middle East involving ports, airports, nuclear and energy facilities, large‑scale developments and major EPC contractors.
