In the last six months, DWF's corporate specialists have demonstrated a strong performance, advising on a number of high-profile transactions for clients across a diverse range of sectors. Most recently, the team advised one of the world's leading food and beverage companies, PepsiCo, on its intended acquisition of premium brand Pipers Crisps, expanding its existing portfolio of popular crisp brands such as Walkers and Doritos. The transaction, which is subject to CMA approval, drew on DWF's sector expertise in food, regulatory, real estate, tax and competition law.
The team has also advised Keywords Studios plc on its acquisition of games developers Studio Gobo and Electric Square and Capita plc on the sale of Supplier Assessment Services Limited; the sale of Acenta Steel Holdings Limited; the sale of Titlestone Property Finance Limited; Inflexion on the buyout of UK Web Media Limited and Fundraising Innovations Limited; the MBO of Love Energy Savings; Assura on the acquisition of GP Premises Holdings Limited; the disposal of LPW Technology Limited and the IPO of Immotion Group PLC.
National Head of corporate at DWF, Frank Shephard said: "We have seen a sustained volume of high calibre deals despite concerns over post-Brexit investment, and we are continuing to deliver pragmatic, innovative and straightforward advice both nationally and internationally, with transactions in the energy and industrials, financial services, insurance, real estate, retail, food and hospitality and technology sectors. In the last year, one third of our deals have been in the technology sector, demonstrating the success of our sector led approach and our use of technology-driven solutions to improve the deal process for clients. The team works hard to understand and deliver on our clients' commercial goals, and the figures reflect this hard work."
DWF has corporate specialists in ten UK locations as well as across several of its global offices, most recently boosting its Singapore office with the arrival of corporate partner Babita Ambekar. Key individuals are locally offering pre-eminent transactional advice to businesses across a range of sectors including technology, financial services, retail, food, insurance, energy and real estate.
