Handling DSARs: Law, limits and lessons

date/time: 24 June 2026, 12:00 - 14:30
Location: 20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3AG
Conference

Many organisations are struggling with the added load of dealing with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), which are often used to pursue agendas that may have little to do with data protection or privacy, particularly compensation claims, litigation and grievances.

In this session we will take you through the latest legislative, regulator and judicial thinking on what is an appropriate request, the boundaries of the legal and operational requirements and what needs to be done to strike an appropriate balance between the competing rights and interests involved.

You will leave this session with a better understanding of the latest thinking in this area and practical tips for handling your next request in a compliant and proportionate manner.
