DWF's Venture Capital Group advises on 44 transactions during the last financial year

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has announced that its Venture Capital Group advised on 44 Venture Capital transactions during the last financial year, spanning each of DWF's five priority markets. This represents one of the highest deal volumes among UK law firm Venture Capital teams.

This marks the second full financial year completed by the DWF Venture Capital Group since its formal launch.

The Group has advised a wide range of clients – both investors and companies – including: BidScript Limited, Cartesian Capital, CCI Photonics Limited, Connex AI, Foresight, Hiro Capital, Imad Ventures, Inflexion, Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Growth Partners, Maven Capital Partners, Mercia Ventures, Nesta Partners, NorthEdge, Pastest, PXN Ventures, Scottish National Investment Bank (SNIB), TDR Capital, Tolemy Bio and YFM Equity Partners.

Notable transactions include:

  • Acting for Imad Ventures on a series of strategic investments, including Gravis Robotics, a Swiss developer of advanced robotic excavators; TruBuild, a UAE- and Saudi Arabia-based construction technology company; Track3D, a US-based construction artificial intelligence (AI) company; Kaya Pay, a US-based AI-powered construction supply chain platform; and Neuron Factory, a US-based construction technology company.
  • Representing GrowthCo on its investments in a range of high-growth businesses, including Breezemove, a multi-user platform improving the home moving experience; Gaia Learning, a live online education provider supporting students who face barriers to mainstream attendance; Mission C, a provider of triple lab-tested, vegan-friendly CBD products; and OurPetsLife, a provider of innovative, reliable and accessible pet products trusted by professionals.
  • Advising PXN Ventures on its investments in: QV Bioelectronics, C3 Biotechnologies and Imperagen.
  • Representing Foresight on its growth capital investment in AsiaVerify, an intelligence RegTech platform.
  • Acting for Scottish National Investment Bank (SNIB) on its investment in Innovatium, a clean technology company.
  • Advising Maven Capital Partners on its investment in Esk Film Services.
  • Acting on the IFNI Equity investment in Thrive CSR Group Limited.
  • Advising Connex AI on a venture debt investment by HSBC Innovation Bank. 
  • Representing Tolemy Bio on its venture capital investment.
