DWF secures double Crown Commercial Service appointment

05 April 2023
DWF's employment law experts take a look at the latest labour market data for the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

DWF has been named as a supplier on the CCS e-Disclosure and Review Services Framework. This is an appointment for the Group's Legal Operations division which will provide services in three 'Lots' of work tendered under the Framework*.

This includes a range of e-disclosure and managed document review services, including data identification, data processing, early case assessment, application of AI and analytics, data enrichment, trial preparation and managed document review. The Framework will run until March 2027.

DWF is already a supplier to the Crown Commercial Service Legal Services Framework for UK central Government. In this capacity it has been appointed to provide regulatory legal services to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). DWF's integrated offering, drawing particularly on commercial legal services, forensic advisory, eDiscovery and in-house Chambers capabilities, was an important factor in securing this appointment.

The appointment to support MCA will run for four years and will see teams from across DWF advise the MCA on all aspects of the regulatory environment, including investigations and prosecutions, initiatives to improve safety and support at inquests and public inquiries where necessary.

Sir Nigel Knowles, Group CEO at DWF, said: "We are proud to be a supplier to the Crown Commercial Service and are delighted with these latest appointments. Both appointments reflect the importance of our integrated offering, with the client utilising our legal services, business services and legal operations expertise. We are seeing this more and more, with clients across all sectors seeking to work with fewer providers across a wider range of services."

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945m – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

* The three Lots are: simple low volume work service package for documents and data; end to end service for documents and data (up to official/official sensitive); and document review services for documents and data (up to official/official sensitive).
