2025 Ten Years of Section 57

13 April 2015 – the implementation date of Section 57 of the Criminal Justice and Courts Act (‘CJCA’) 2015. The anniversary of this landmark reform has seen calls to roll back the legislation, or to impose curbs on the ability of Defendants to make allegations of fundamental dishonesty.
