Experience

Stephen is a solicitor in DWF's Data Protection and Cyber Security team, advising organisations on a wide range of privacy, governance and regulatory matters. His work focuses on helping clients navigate complex legal requirements while developing practical, commercially focused approaches to managing privacy risk and building trust in an increasingly data-driven environment.

Stephen has supported clients across a broad range of sectors on issues including data subject rights requests, international data transfers, privacy governance, compliance assessments, and the implementation of global privacy frameworks. He has also provided strategic support on cross-border data protection projects, helping organisations navigate evolving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Stephen's is also involved in supporting the delivery of large-scale privacy and governance programmes, including DWF's Data Protection Extend and Accelerate (DPEA) programme, including contributing to the design of DWF's training and development programmes.

In addition to his advisory work, Stephen has gained valuable in-house experience through client secondments, working alongside privacy teams to support complex operational and strategic initiatives. He has also played an active role in client development, helping to build and strengthen client relationships, contributing to thought leadership and market insights and supporting business development initiatives.
