Paul is Head of Fraud & Technical Insurance in the Leeds office, as well as firm-wide Head of Products for Motor, Fraud, Credit Hire and Resolution Law.

Experience

He specialises in insurance and fraud cases including motor and non-motor, fire, commercial losses and coverage issues.

Paul has worked as a solicitor in the Insurance sector since 1996.

Along with his team, he provides clear, commercial advice on fraud and technical insurance issues, EL and PL claims, motor fraud, serious injury claims, commercial insurance losses, coverage issues, travel claims, animal claims, fires and other property related losses. He has a particular specialism in high-risk fraudulent claims and experience of dealing with claims by suspected organised criminals. His team handles the full spectrum of first party fraud, from significant commercial and property claims, down to motor vehicle thefts.

Paul regularly advises underwriters and insurer management on leakage and exposure risk as well as more general guidance on process, claims handling and business improvement.

He is a member of the Insurance Times Fraud Charter Board and a member of the IFB/ABI committee determining the development of new intelligence sharing platforms in the insurance industry.

Outside of work Paul enjoys cycling, running, technology and learning about computers.
