Experience
Abigail specialises in advising insurers. She has over 12 years' experience in defending personal injury claims, advising on all aspects of complex and high value employer, public and product liability claims.
Abigail specialises in claims from the food and farming sector, though also has significant experience in injuries arising from construction, and claims involving fraud.
Her particular area of interest is claims pleaded under The Animals Act 1971. She recently had success at appeal in narrowing the definition of a 'keeper' under the Act, thereby narrowing the scope of who may be caught under strict liability by the Act.
Outside of the office, as a former ballerina, Abigail retains a keen interest in dance, teaching both adult and children's dance classes. She is also a keen walker and is regularly found hiking in the Lake District.
