DWF appoints Bart Borms as Chief Financial Officer

29 September 2025

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart Borms as Chief Financial Officer, effective from 1st October 2025.

Bart is replacing Chris Stefani, who steps down after nine years of dedicated service, which includes DWF's IPO on the London Stock Exchange and successful take private with Inflexion. Chris is leaving the firm to join Grant Thornton UK as Chief Financial Officer.

Bart brings a distinguished track-record in business services and substantial experience in private equity-backed companies, most recently at Medivet. His career spans leadership roles across a range of high-growth businesses, including more than 10 years operating as a CFO. Bart’s strategic insight and financial leadership have been instrumental in driving transformation and scaling operations to support ambitious international growth plans.

Commenting on the appointment, Matthew Doughty, Group CEO of DWF, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bart to DWF. His expertise in business services and scaling growing companies, combined with his collaborative leadership style, make him an ideal fit for our next chapter of growth.”

Matthew also paid tribute to outgoing CFO Chris Stefani: “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Chris for his outstanding contribution to DWF. His leadership through our IPO and time as a public company, and more recently since our private equity investment, has been exemplary. Chris has played a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and governance of the Group, and we wish him every success as he takes up his new role at Grant Thornton.”

Bart Borms added: “I’m thrilled to be joining DWF at such an exciting time in its journey. The firm has a very strong market position and DWF’s ambitious growth plans present a compelling opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its future success. I look forward to working with Matt, the wider leadership team and all at DWF to help drive continued high performance and innovation.”

Chris Stefani said: "DWF has been on a terrific growth journey during my nine years with the business and I wish Matt, Bart and the whole team every success in the future."

Steve Varley, Chair of DWF Group, said: “We extend our sincere thanks to Chris Stefani for his leadership and dedication as CFO of DWF Group. His financial stewardship and commitment to strong governance have played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and resilience over recent years. We are equally delighted to welcome Bart Borms as our new CFO, bringing with him extensive international experience and a strong track record in driving strategic performance. We look forward to working with Bart as DWF continues its journey of innovation and success.”

Bart will be based in London working closely with the other members of the Executive Board to continue strengthening DWF’s financial performance and operational resilience.
