Darren is an energy lawyer specialising in low carbon and renewable energy projects. He is recognised internationally as a leading specialist in nuclear energy projects. Darren advises developers, sponsors, regulators, site license companies and suppliers in the context of nuclear waste management and decommissioning projects; as well as new nuclear build projects nationally and internationally.
Darren has joined the business from a major international law firm where he was a partner in the Finance and Projects group. Prior to that, Darren was General Counsel, EMEA for Punj Lloyd Group and before that, he was General Counsel for British Nuclear Group where he was responsible for 12 nuclear licensed sites in the UK.
At DWF, Darren will advise clients in connection with development of new nuclear build projects nationally and internationally as well as waste management and decommissioning services associated with the World's nuclear fleet of operational and decommissioned nuclear power plants and facilities. In addition to his nuclear practice, Darren will also advise clients on low carbon and renewable energy projects including technologies such as ground mounted solar, hydro/tidal as well as demand side and embedded generation.
