DWF advises TAURON on EUR 137 million wind farm acquisition

DWF's team in Poland advised TAURON Polska Energia S.A on the due diligence and transactional process for five wind farms belonging from in.ventus group and the receivables of Hamburg Commercial Bank AG from wind farm management companies.
The farms, located in the north of Poland with a total capacity of generating 180 MW, were purchased through special purpose vehicles established for this purpose. This is one of the largest transactions of wind farm acquisitions in Poland to date, amounting to approximately EUR 137 million. 

The team involved in advising TAURON included partners Oskar Waluśkiewicz, Dr Rafał Woźniak, Marcin Trepka and Małgorzata Lesiak-Ćwikowska, Wiktoria Rogaska, Olga Wiśniewska-Pietrzak, Magdalena Trzepizur, Dr Piotr Moskała, Dr Maria Kierska, Paulina Galewska, Łukasz Gembiś, Piotr Kocoł, Michał Bystrzyński, Piotr Michajłow and Martyna Wurm. Supervision over the entire project was entrusted to Dr Karol Lasocki, Head of the Department of Innovative Energy DWF in Poland, with the support of partners Maciej Jamka and Filip Urbaniak. DWF in Poland also cooperated with the German office of K&L Gates LLP.
