DWF sponsors Birminghams Colmore Food Festival

26 June 2018
DWF is the headline sponsor of this year's Colmore Food Festival held in the heart of Birmingham on 6th and 7th July.
The event is organised by the Colmore Business Improvement District (BID) and is in its eighth year. It allows hospitality businesses in and around Colmore Row to showcase their food and drinks, providing visitors with a taste of what they offer all year round.

International legal business DWF has had an office in Birmingham for more than five years and is currently based in the BID at One Snowhill. The office is a full service offering with particular expertise in the Retail, Food and Hospitality; Financial Services; and Real Estate sectors.

In addition to the office's work as a legal business it is also involved in the local community and through the business's charity, the DWF Foundation, it has provided grants to local organisations including Birmingham Children's Hospital, Breast Cancer Haven West Midlands and the Birmingham Royal Ballet. DWF's Birmingham office has also developed a mentoring scheme with students at the University of Wolverhampton and the business's 5 Star Futures programme works with pupils at Perry Beeches The Academy.

Jon Stevens, Executive Partner of DWF Birmingham, said: "The food festival is a brilliant event and it reflects the fantastic food scene in Birmingham. We were keen for DWF to get involved in the event to show our support to Colmore BID and our fellow businesses in the area.

"Birmingham is a highly exciting place to be for business at the moment with developments such as the arrival of HSBC, a bid to be Channel 4's headquarters, HS2 fast approaching and the 2020 Commonwealth Games around the corner.

"The fast pace of the city has been reflected in a very busy year for our Birmingham office so far - it is a source of pride for us that our clients arrive at our offices having walked through the buzzing Colmore District and that we have so many thriving restaurants and bars close by."

Michele Wilby, Executive Director at the Colmore BID, said: "The Colmore Food Festival is in its eighth year and it is great to have a sponsor from within the District, particularly in our ballot year. It shows that businesses in the District really support what we do and want to be involved. We are looking forward to having the DWF Terrace this year where people will be able to get drinks from Primitivo, The Alchemist, Hotel du Vin and The Jekyll and Hyde and then take a seat and enjoy the Festival."
