Experience
Prior to joining DWF, Ronny has acted as defence counsel for a number of high-profile insureds across building and construction, accounting, wealth management and banking. Ronny has also advised Australian and London-market insurers on complex coverage matters in relation to professional indemnity and directors & officers liability risks.
Specifically, Ronny has:
- Advised the excess insurers of one of Australia’s largest banks in relation to coverage arising from a penalty imposed on that bank for contraventions of the AML/CTF Act and subsequent securities class actions.
- Acted in defence of warranty & indemnity insurers in relation to a c. $200M claim in the NSW Supreme Court, arising out of the insured’s acquisition of a global property services and management group.
- Acted in defence of a national building company in relation to a complex construction matter, alleging thousands of building defects under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) and the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 (NSW).
