Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 2023 and joined DWF Chambers in 2026.

Experience

Jonathan's practice encompasses a range of civil litigation, with particular expertise in personal injury, healthcare and insurance litigation. He has acted on behalf of road traffic and professional indemnity insurers and NHS Resolution across a diverse range of claims.

Jonathan has considerable experience in clinical negligence litigation, advising on claims involving complex liability and causation issues. He also has extensive experience in personal injury litigation, including multi-track road traffic accident, employer’s liability and public liability claims.

Jonathan regularly appears as advocate in the County Court. He represents client’s at disposal hearings, as well as interim application hearings including those for pre-action disclosure, relief from sanctions, unless orders, strike out, extensions of time and transfers of proceedings.

He is currently undertaking the Higher Rights of Audience qualification with a view to developing a broader Trial advocacy practice.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys football, keeping fit and is currently training towards obtaining his Private Pilot’s Licence.

Recent Cases

  • Assisted in securing a seven-figure settlement for a claimant who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a pedestrian road traffic accident, involving significant pre-existing comorbidities.
  • Acted as part of the legal team representing a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and his professional indemnity insurer in complex clinical negligence proceedings concerning Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL), successfully resolving the claim at mediation.
  • Advised NHS Resolution in a number of high-value clinical negligence claims, including litigation involving complex orthopaedic issues and multi-party proceedings.
  • Represented an organisation providing care for young people with disabilities at an Inquest following the sudden death of a service user.
