Experience

As a solicitor, his work almost exclusively involved the conduct of defence litigation on behalf of a number of major insurance clients in personal injury and damage claims in the High Court and County Court.

As a Barrister, Tony's work continued in litigation in the High Court and County Court, providing advice and representation for both Plaintiffs and Defendants.  He also developed a practice in the recovery of the proceeds of crime for police and appeared for police at inquests.

Tony left the Bar and joined DWF in 2019 as an Advocate Solicitor, having been readmitted to the Roll of Solicitors of Northern Ireland.  He is based at the Belfast office and provides an in house advocacy service, both written and oral, in County Court cases involving personal injury and damage claims including motor, employer's liability, commercial, public liability and outlay recovery matters.  He provides a written advocacy service in High Court matters and appears in the High Court at interlocutory hearings.  He also appears in the Magistrates' Court in prosecution cases. Tony is developing experience in HSENI investigations.
