Experience
Neil is a Senior Associate in the Casualty team. He has spent more than 20 years advising Insurers, loss adjusters, and different corporate entities on a range of Disease and Employers' and Public Liability claims.He has extensive experience and expertise in a range of different types of claims including mesothelioma and other asbestos related claims, occupational asthma and other respiratory illnesses, dermatitis, noise induced hearing loss and HAVS claims. Neil has spent many years handling WRULD and other repetitive type injury claims as well as poisoning claims and other diseases.
Neil was the Head of a team at Plexus until 2023 dealing with NIHL claims for one large insurer for several years at the height of the surge in these claims in the 2000s - 2010s as well as handling all NIHL claims for one large PLC around the same time.
Neil has also been involved in different Group Litigation claims including coordinating the Scania Group Litigation (repetitive back injuries) for 55 different defendants and the Powertrain Group Litigation (respiratory illnesses).
Neil is well versed in the legal, technical and commercial sensibilities around defending other complex claims and has a particular expertise in psychiatric injury claims.
Neil has provided training and presentations to his insurer and corporate clients.
