29 April 2022

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has appointed banking and finance specialist, Richard Jadot as a partner in France.

Richard has considerable experience in banking and finance and advises banks, funds and companies on the negotiation of credit facilities and the implementation of security packages in France and globally. He also advises his clients on debt restructurings in the context of pre-insolvency and insolvency proceedings.

He joins the Paris office of DWF following his most recent role at Ravet & Associés and prior to that at HFW Paris and Hogan Lovells (Paris) where he was in charge of the banking-finance department for more than 20 years.

At DWF, Richard and his associate Valérie Claver, will be part of the global Finance and Restructuring practice area. He will work closely with Paul César and together they will develop the banking department of the Paris office.

Richard Jadot said: "DWF has a strong banking and finance practice being part of local and global teams of specialists covering all key business sectors in an innovative and creative way. I am looking forward to working with these teams to further develop our capability and build on our offering for clients across the world."

Jean-François Mercadier, managing partner of DWF in France, said: "We are pleased to welcome Richard to the business. His sector experience and technical capability perfectly complement our offering in Paris, built by a strong and multi-sector specialist team. Richard joins us following the arrival in 2021 of EU competition and sport law partner, Emmanuel Durand, EU consumer product law partner, Nicole Coutrelis and our partners in real estate, construction law and public law, Pierre-Nicolas Sanzey and Bruno Richard."

Iain Shurwood, Partner and Global Head of Finance and Restructuring, DWF, said: "We are delighted to bring Richard on board our global team, and look forward to drawing on his exceptional and varied experience in banking and finance activities generally, in particular in aviation, renewable energy and acquisition financing for the benefit of our clients in France and internationally."
