DWF advises the management team of Kindertons Holdings Ltd on sale to ExamWorks

International legal business DWF has advised the management team of Kindertons on the acquisition of the business by ExamWorks, a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners from Sovereign Capital Partners.
Kindertons is a nationwide specialist provider of outsourced accident management services for motor insurers and insurance brokers. It provides replacement vehicles and full claims management services to drivers following an accident. The sale takes place almost five years after the acquisition of Kindertons by the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist Sovereign, who provided additional funding to meet the growing demand for Kindertons' offering.

DWF Manchester's corporate team also acted for Kindertons on its original deal with Sovereign in 2013 and since then the business has completed four strategic acquisitions, doubled its vehicle fleet to 5,300 and almost tripled employee numbers and revenue.

The DWF team was led by DWF National Head of Corporate Frank Shephard working alongside senior associates Vicky Thomas (Corporate) and James Cashman (Tax).

Frank Shephard said: "As a long-standing client, we are delighted to have acted for the management team of Kindertons and its management team on the next stage of growth with Exam Works. Since supporting the business in their original acquisition by Sovereign, we have seen the company thrive in both scale and service offering and we look forward to seeing the business go from strength to strength."

The DWF corporate team acts for clients in a wide variety of sectors and recently advised multinational technology outsourcer Equiniti on its acquisition of specialist shareholder engagement company Boudicca Proxy Limited.
