Experience
As Global Head of Legal Operations at DWF, Julia leads all initiatives, strategy and delivery for DWF’s Legal Operations practice area. She oversees all outputs from the Group's delivery centres in the United States, United Kingdom and India and is the senior liaison between corporate legal departments, their law firms and DWF functions.
Julia has driven excellence and business transformation within Legal Operations and the DWF Group for more than 10 years. With a keen interest in innovation and enthusiasm for transformation, Julia has worked to create avenues for alternative legal service delivery. She established DWF’s first Legal Support Centre – a managed service unit dedicated to delivery efficient legal processes and volume project support. She also served as the first Global Head of Client Integration and Delivery for the Legal Operations team.
She works directly with clients to introduce alternative legal services, identify specific pain points and propose bespoke solutions including technology advancement depending on their needs.
Julia has more than two decades of experience in the legal industry, particularly within financial services, with a niche specialism in FCA consumer credit regulated volume legal collections, recoveries and enforcement activity to the motor finance sector. She has served as Sector Head, for Consumer Credit & Asset Finance.
In more recent times Julia has completed her Post Graduate certificate in Management Practice through the Senior Leaders Apprenticeship Scheme at the Alliance Manchester Business School undertaken alongside the day job and weaving in every day challenges to build management tools and solutions.
When she is not finding new ways to deliver legal services, Julia is passionate about CSR and ESG and acts as chair for the Manchester offices CSR team. She is proud of her business development role within the Group building relations across the city in her role as Deputy Office managing partner for the Manchester office. She is recognised for her role as a mentor.
Julia is a sports enthusiast and enjoys traveling to new places and capturing these journeys through photography along the way. Julia is passionate about family and one of her most important roles is Mum to three lively teenagers.
