DWF welcomes 28 new additions to Major Injury and Casualty practice

30 September 2025

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has significantly expanded its Major Injury and Casualty practice with the arrival of 28 new colleagues across London and Leeds.

DWF announced in July that four partners would be joining its Major Injury and Casualty team from Kennedys. The partners (Richard West, Claire Mulligan, Gareth Thomas and Jennifer Harris) have all now joined the firm with a further 24 colleagues.

They are joined by Director Nicola Hammerton, alongside senior associates Milena Iyer, Sue Lovegrove, Lindsey Mayor, Michael Seggie, Louise Law, Dan Petty, Rebecca Howlett, Georgina Cox, Lauren Brock and Norma Marley; associates Megan McKeigue, Kwadwo Boadu and Katherine Chan; plus a wider team of solicitors and legal professionals.

Together the team brings extensive experience in liability defence, catastrophic injury, travel litigation, regulatory matters and crisis management.

Commenting on the appointments, Claire Bowler, Head of Major Injury and Casualty at DWF, said: “We are thrilled to welcome this exceptional group of partners and colleagues to our practice. Their collective knowledge and skills, together with their proven track record of advising leading insurers and corporates, represents a major step forward in the growth of our team.”

Matthew Doughty, Group CEO and CEO of DWF’s Insurance Services division, added: “The arrival of these 28 colleagues marks a significant expansion of our Major Injury and Casualty practice. The breadth and calibre of this intake is outstanding and reinforces our position as a leading provider of legal and business services to the insurance industry. We are delighted to welcome them all to DWF.”

A fifth partner, Victoria Kennedy, will join DWF’s Major Injury and Casualty practice in early October from DAC Beachcroft.

DWF’s global Insurance Services division is home to around 2,000 colleagues and is one of the world’s leading providers of integrated legal and business services to the insurance sector.
